Odoo's standard Employee and Time Off apps require an internal user license. This module moves everyday HR self-service — leave, attendance, profile, tasks, and general requests — onto the free Portal user type. It also adds a project-scoped Portal Manager role for external overseers and a dedicated Client role for service requests, all with an immutable status history and multi-company support.
Who this is for
Organizations that run large field or project workforces on Odoo but cannot justify a full internal license for every employee — staffing firms, facilities and security contractors, construction and outsourced services, and multi-tenant HR operators. Also a fit when external clients or site managers need limited team visibility and first-stage leave approval without ever opening the back office.
